I'm all for the notion that you can't test a 100% of a live service, but still, if not broadcast in HD, how on earth are they testing bandwidth constraing, image/sound quality etc.
It's what they call a "barker", just a promotion for the new channel rather than an actual test I think. It does show that they have a fair bit of HD in the Living portfolio, probably on a par with FX. Could start on Monday but more likely to be September I think.
Just noticed that the TV schedule for LivingHD vanishes at 8pm on Monday night... There's then a 30 minute gap in the schedule that's blank before from 8:30pm it says "no information available". Seems consistent with the theory that it's starting on Monday.
Yes you are right, it is in sd rather than hd at the moment.
