thats what happens when you sell your 50% of UKTV to another company. You lose control over who you sell the channel to. Short term financial gain which then leads to costing more later on

This may finally make me cut the cord. I watch more UK gold than anything else. Mainly for only fools :)

More annoyed that they haven't asked customers. I'm not interested in US shows and hate football but constantly watch Dave, Gold eta... won't go back to Sky but will need to rethink who I give my hard earned money too

I'm surprised this hadn't happened sooner and that Sky TV haven't done the same as this is not about getting rid of channels but instead getting customers a better deal all in one place and not forcing customers to pay for Netflix to watch BBC programming On Demand, programming we funded via our TV licence.

Not good enough you should get what you pay for

Just another instance of Virgin Media doing what suits them. US shows don’t impress me. Like many others I watch Dave and Gold for the old favourites. Money is tight and it maybe time to rethink who I’m with.

Why are there duplicated channels? CH200 and CH222 are Crime Investigation. CH248 and CH295 are ZooMoo wtf come on Virgin Media.

this has happened because UKTV have pulled their channels from Virgin Media because an agreement could not be made on price and value for money for Virgin Media customers.

I wonder how many people would be happy if Virgin Media had announced prices were going up to pay for the UKTV bundle of channels.

Reason for duplicate channels was Virgin Media were not expecting this to happen and that UKTV would see sense and not announce to their advertisers the loss of access to potentially 4 million Virgin tv viewers.

Sounds like excuses are being made. There is no reason why so many duplicate channels should be required.
As for paying, I’m sure the 4 million customers are/where already paying for this service.
I don’t see Sky customers having the same problem. This is typical of VM.
Oh and many of the new channels are on free view and the rest are shit.

Some overpaid, overated executive has lost some of the best channels, and British ones at that, and replaced them with absolute garbage. I wonder how much these channels are paying Virgin Media to be allowed to air their American rubbish. How much bonus will the architect of this disaster get for 'saving' money in this way.
Virgin Media, your paying customers have not been well served here.
