Heroes' Return...October 1 (updated)

The third season of Heroes kicks off on BBC2 on Wednesday, October 1st at 9pm. At the time of writing the Radio Times website is listing only the second episode of season three being on BBC HD (simulcast at 10pm with BBC3) - the 9pm slot is the new series of Silent Witness.
A somewhat corny trailer for Sylar's return can be found here

I've just received my TV guide for next week (not Radio Times) and they also say that the first episode isn't being shown in HD

The 9pm slot on BBCHD is showing the new series of Silent Witness (as on BBC1). Looks like Heroes will only occupy the 10pm slot unlike previous seasons when both the BBC2 and BBC3 timelines were simulcast.
(There's also an episode listed for Sunday Oct 5 at 11.55pm, but I would imagine that's the second episode too)

Well obviously they wouldn't want to clash with repeats of That Mitchell and Webb Look, A Little Later or The Tudors, or to show BBC HD outside the normal hours for ONE DAY so that it isn't missing an episode in a series.

At least they'll probably repeat the series sooner or later.

They've never repeated seasons one or two outside of the week of broadcast. With US imports, the repeats are limited - don't expect Mad Men or Damages to be repeated either.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2008/09/bbc_hd_what_works_best.html "We have at least two instances coming up. Silent Witness is on at the same time as the first episode of Heroes, which we can only play at the same time as one of the other channels broadcasting it because of the rights we can afford to buy on it." OH well.

There's a Sunday HD repeat of Heroes on October 5th, but it's listed as being the second episode from season 3. Looks like episode one is only going to be shown on BBC2.
