Sky Premium HD channels

Good news for folk subscribing to the Sky HD Sports and Movie channels with more than one box: Virgin Media are going to move Sky Premium HD Channels from £7 a month per box to £7 per account from October 1st. (Sky customers too will enjoy their HD on multiroom boxes for the single monthly charge of £10.25.)

I am glad Sky finally decided to see sense on this one. It was complete profiteering.

even better - if you take tivo £3ppm and are on xl tv with virgin then you dont pay £6.50 multiroom charge only £3ppm for tivo and you get both boxes with hd tv on both boxes foc

Might not be the same for everyone but my TIVO series link for Doctor Who on BBC HD isn't planning to record the next new episode this Saturday.

I've set a new series link from this upcoming episode and now have 2 identical series links for the same programme and channel but showing different upcoming episodes.

Does this normally happen and if so would it sort itself closer to broadcast?

Where have you got this tidbit of information from?

Got told tonight on the VM site chat that if you take the TiVo service, you don't pay the £7 monthly fee for Sky Sports & Movies in HD.

Is this true? I can't find anything on their site.

Still a long way off to Virgin Media getting Sky ATLANTIC anytime soon according to Digital Spy. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/news/a337949/virgin-media-still-far-away-from-sky-atlantic-carriage-deal.html

sky atlantic is way way over hyped no where near good as some make it out to be

Trying not to criticise vm,but they decided to move out of the channel owning and content business.Meaning they have to rely on other companys(ie sky amongst others) to provide them with content and channels,Now there claiming sky atlantic to expensive. What`s there excuse regarding Universal Hd,You start to wonder if they are expecting channels on the cheap. If that`s the case were gonna struggle to see any new channels for the forseable future.

That, David, depends on your point of view - to me, there are more shows on Alantic that I want to watch than any other channel on TV.

I also agree that VM aren't prepared to fork out for channels and any we see on our screens will be ones bought on the cheap - such as the UKTV ones we're to be getting.

Ganthers - got told exactly the same. Took a screenshot of the VM chat with "Emma" for proof, should I have beel poorly advised.
