"Sky America"?

Here's an odd one. There's a Virgin Media ad in the tabloid papers today and in the small print it says "Sky Atlantic, Sky 3D and Sky America not included with Virgin Media". There's been no announcement of any new channel called Sky America yet, but if it is "coming soon" for satellite customers it looks like we won't see it any time soon.

Who Cares? :-)

Did you see the article today about HBO starting streaming service next year? As soon as Studio's start selling direct to consumers it will be the beginning of the end for Virmin Media and Sky!

It's not just HBO starting web services but CBS as well then you have Amazon Prime and Netflix and not forgetting Now TV add the monthly cost of all the up and Virgin Media TV does not seem bad value especially as you don't have to go out and buy a box to get these on.

Only other way to get all this TV is by using xbmc/kodi.

Sky will probably move all the 'Atlantic' content to 'America' and then let Virgin have the Atlantic channel!
