Fringe, Curb Your Enthusiasm return
The eighth and final series of HBO's CurbYour Enthusiasm starts on More4 tomorrow Sunday, albeit in SD. And Fringe returns to Sky1 HD on September 28th at 10pm.
So a timely reminder that Sky Atlantic doesn't have every good new US show after all...
Not sure I'd count Fringe as a good show anymore. To coin an Americanism, it 'jumped the shark' in a pretty epic way last series. Soul Magnets or some sort nonsense. It was at that point I hit the stop button and deleted my series link.
@Morobishi: I'm with you on Fringe, but it's entertaining enough and I still enjoy John Noble's performances. Curb's return on More4 is a bonus as I thought that was sure for Sky Atlantic. The one I'm really looking forward to is Boardwalk Empire. But not via Virgin Media regretably.
It's not all doom and gloom for Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO wants another season of it and the deal with More4 means they will always get to show it first.
@campebellg: I was actually surprised how few Emmys were picked up by HBO shows - I think you'll find with the main awards that Modern Family alone collected more than all the HBO shows combined. Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire collected one each, the season of Mad Men rewarded was the one on BBC HD and for me Mildred Pearce would be unwatchable as I cannae stand Kate Winslet in anything... Congrats to the broadcast of the ceremony by 5USA: missed off the big Drama series of the year award which went to Mad Men season 4.
Not really any HBO competition for Modern Family, being a comedy, plus a lot of the HBO shows were up against each other.
Regardless, a lot of emmy awards went to shows we can't watch on Virgin - I never saw wins for True Blood and Glee, which seem to be the only shows VM trumpet on about showing.
Ref Curb ... great to see it on More 4 but why oh why is it not on Catch Up TV ? You trumpet the fact that it's being shown and then schedule it for 11pm on Sunday - which is impractical for me and surely a lot more viewers.

Nope it just has most of them - how many emmy awards went to shows on Sky Atlantic?
Bite the bullet, VM, your customers are losing out on some of the very best TV there is.
