According to Neil Berkett, Virgin Media TiVo customers eagerly awaiting the iPad App for their device will have to wait until September! Bloody hell...

You must be joking, there is no way it takes this long to produce an app for IPAD tivo. Virgin media you should be ashamed. One very unhappy customer.

I think I have time to switch to sky for a year, then come back before the app will work on my android tablet!
Pathetic, Virgin, just pathetic!

Any chance of a WebOS app to? I'd quite like to control the TiVo from my TouchPad :-). :Cloud cuckoo:

Well I hope it works on the iPad 2 and not just the iPad 3!!

That would be the icing on the cake!

There is also an Android app called Tv Guide by VM on Google Play.

there are 3 different kinds of apps for web and mobile devices...
1. remote control - this exists and works already

2. epg guides with remote setting for record options and remote control - again these exist already and both VM; TVguide and others offer these.

3. remote access to the tivo via a remote device.
this is the thing that is delayed. It was due for release shortly after christmas; it exists in the US and for a while we could use the US app on the VM tivo. BUT because of some security issues they changed the code to stop its use.
I suspect (though have no real evidence) that they are having to rewrite some core code in both tivo and the iphone/pad app and they will release the app in sync with the next major f/w release.
Hence the comment from Niel about being later this year.
from what I saw of the us app it will bring some nice features but basically it is the tivo menus on the iphone/pad.

Neil Berkett said at the Cable Congress in Brussels that Virgin Media will make TiVoToGo (live TV) available on tablets beginning this September.

This is not the ipad app we've been waiting for, but a different app that one could presume means we'll be getting tivo streaming to the ipad.
