The quiet announcement that the Spotify app is disappearing with the new TiVo software update is the latest step in the demise of the disappointing tale of the TiVo app. Do any of them work anymore? Has anyone got the patience to use the TiVo's cumbersome YouTube or BBC iPlayer sloths? They're either broken or unusably slow these days, which makes me wonder if anyone actually uses them. I've set up a poll (top right) to see what you think. Let me know.

Tried them when I first got the TIVO (about a year ago) but far too slow to ever bother with. Use PS3 or Apple TV for any apps like youtube.
Netflix his horrendous actually timed it using my tv instead I'm a good 5min into show in the time it takes TiVo to start program joke!!!!
I use Netflix because the picture quality is really good. Is annoying slow to start up though.
The kids watch stuff on the iplayer but usually access it from doing a general search.
I find the Tivo apps to be a complete waste of time, way too slow and Laggy. I use my smart tv,much much better.
I never use my TVs smart function because it's clunky and slow, and the TiVo is significantly slower than even that. So this is a total non-story. Everyone who would use smart functions would have several better options.
The tivo apps are horribly slow. I use my xbox one for netflix and amazon and youtube. It's decent speed is much better than the tivo
Slow is an understatement ... Sometimes I think mines going backwards !
