BomberAF posts today on Sky Atlantic HD and other missing Sky HD basics

BomberAF has posted over on Cable Forum's Coming Soon To Virgin Media thread today that Sky Atlantic, Sky News and Sky Sports News will all appear in HD on Virgin Media before September 14th. He was on the money with BT and ESPN (albeit a little wayward with the date) so let's hope he's right with this one. Odd that his CF profile has him only as a Sky customer though. And, of course, very un-PC for me to assume Bomber's male...

It is Sky Sports News HD and Sky Atlantic both HD and SD.

Not sure about the others.

As part of the XL package!!!!!
What I said here isn't actually true. But if you look at what I said in another post about big changes afoot a part of this will see all HD channels that are on Sky available to VM. So where you have the Sky channels if there is a HD channel you will also get the HD channel to go with it. This will start to be implemented and should be complete within the next 2 years. Ambiguous I know but watch this space.

should be as afbomber said but sports 3 4 hd etc are on the wishlists and havent been confirmed as in talks over them - but vm have been in talks with sky on high level basis for 2-3 months so far - see what happens in next 2 weeks

surely the answer to the Sky Atlantic conundrum is to include it as a bonus channel with Sky Movies? This would increase top tier subs and revive the movies package which is up against Netflix etc.
