Sky Atlantic update

Confirmed by a number of sources: Sky staff have now been given strict instructions to cease and desist from claiming exclusivity for Sky Atlantic on the Sky platform.

UPDATE: Posted on Sky Community forum http://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Programming-Channels/Virgin-Sky-Atlantic-August-1st/td-p/1198530:
"i will categorically state that the inference of any "cease and desist" relative to Sky staff and Sky Atlantic is completely unfounded."

They have started to do this on some of the tv ads since your first Announcement

Interesting that the Sky Atlantic home page no longer mentions that it's exclusive to Sky customers. http://skyatlantic.sky.com/get-sky-atlantic-hd
I have a darned good feeling about this. A shame I'm away until August 1st, but will keep an eye on this and post any news I get.

I will believe it only when it appears on my EPG.

I will only believe it once it's on Virgin Media.

Great news for those that want it, but save any shows coming - isn't the point that people want the shows already on?

So, unless there is a mass of reruns, you're going to have to start to watch current series' from a mid-point?

If (and it remains an "if") we get Sky Atlantic, we will also get Sky Atlantic's On Demand content too.

Yet Sky announced last year that they were looking to wholesale Sky Atlantic to other carriers, including VM? It's down to agreeing a price, not a strategic call.
Never say never. VM was "never" going to get Sky1, Movies, Sport in HD. We have them all. Sky don't see VM as the enemy (in fact they need VM to keep the Monopolies Commission at bay) and are aiming their guns at BT big time. VM may well benefit from this fight.
