Sky adds Sky Atlantic (and on demand) to Now TV

If you want Sky Atlantic and are prepared to shell out a fiver a month for the pleasure, Sky has added an Entertainment package of ten channels to Now TV for an "introductory price" of £4.99 a month (no contract).
The channels are Sky 1, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts 1, Discovery, Fox, Comedy Central, MTV, Gold and Disney.
That looks pretty good to me, especially when you can buy the tiny, acclaimed NowTV box for just a tenner. How long they'll keep that price that low I don't know, nor do I know what the picture quality is like, but you can get a little more info on the NowTV site.
Bit of a BT / TalkTalk killer I think, and priced just below the monthly Netflix and LoveFilm alternatives.

Still far more expensive than a sub to LoveFilm or Netflix.

Game of Thrones is also notable by it's absence.

How is Game Of Thrones absent if Sky Atlantic is included?

Game of Thrones isn't currently broadcast on Sky Atlantic: season four won't be on until next March or so. It's not currently available as an On Demand box set on Now TV, despite some early ads suggesting it was. Game Of Thrones is indeed currently being repeated on Sky Atlantic.
Not really surprising that Sky have kept the On demand material exclusive to their own customers, of course...

[Mark's right - season 2 is being repeated on Sky Atlantic at the moment. Apparently the On Demand seasons 1 and 2 will disappear from the satellite On Demand service on Nov 1]
