According to the teaser running on channel 118, the first episode of HBO's highly acclaimed vampire series
True Blood is coming to Virgin Central from July 18th. Fingers crossed that it'll be in HD and stack like the third season of FX's
Dexter. Also, no ads and in widescreen, unlike the FX version. And how's that for a stunning poster???!

Yes, rather cool. H'm, this Virgin Central, is that TV Choice or the whole of the ondemand section? There is nothing called Virgin Central apart from channel 118
There's a channel called Virgin Central through the More TV On Demand menus - I found it yesterday, but you have to hunt around for it. Probably still quicker though than the red button on 118...
I expect (but can't confirm) that it will only be the first episode on Virgin Central but the whole series, in SD and HD, will appear week by week in TV Choice on Demand, a la Dexter season 3. At least, that's what I'm hoping they do.
In general the TV Choice on Demand management has improved this year: programmes and series are hanging around and shows appear in order (generally) and at a rate of an episode or two per week. I'd still much rather have a whole season of the older shows in one hit rather than have them appear in fits and starts, but there may be a technical or contractual reason that prohibits that.
I haven't tried jPod yet - anyone had a look? Looking forward to Carnivale s2 and True Blood though, and it would be great if they could show Dexter season 1 like they promised to. In HD, please.
It will be in HD according to
