Living HD finally launches on Sky

Now they have 50: Living HD launches today on Sky. This was part of the agreement in Sky's £160m deal for the Living TV Group (formerly known as Virgin Media TV), and VM gets the Sky HD basics (Sky1, Sky Arts 1 & 2 and Sky News) also.
So can we have them now please? Stay tuned...

Virgin really do drag their feet. What exactly can the hold up be? In fact, with the loss of the MTV channels, our channel count is actually going down, not up. And still no word on UKTV HD channels. They really do make it hard on themselves...

I agree with some earlier posters, that now we're getting the HD content, some of us seem to be just as upset when we had only one, yes ONE - BBC HD - channel, so that we can still be mad at VM for something rather than trying to see all the good out of it - after all, nothing is actually stopping you jump to a nice dish on the side of your house which is affected by rain (and OMG you should really try this 50mb broadband...)!

Getting and broadcasting new channels isn't just like flicking a switch, it's sorting out the contracts well before the mass of technical wizardry required.

All I'd ask (without anger) is where is the Red Button I thought we were getting on Sky Sports now?

Lee...you are 100% correct. People love to complain and take what we have now for granted.

I remember waiting for more HD channels to arrive or for even news of possible HD channels arriving and was still left with BBC HD for a long time. When they finally began arriving did we get appreciation and joy out of it ? NO:

We got moaning and wanting and asking. Nothing's ever good enough for the British these days. We're like a bunch of moaning idiots.

Also about Sky's interruption by WEATHER. This does happen so don't say it doesn't. Normally we have a full signal level at sky yet during a thunderstorm get no signal at all (or at least chirping video).

So quit it. Virgin are getting there.

Sky 1 HD is coming to VM sometime this month.

I also thought when the sale of Virgin channels to sky reached completion, that the red button would become available. Very disappointed to say the least. Does anyone know the roll out date for the Tivo boxes? Dave A.

Yeah, Dave, the red button isn't working is odd, I thought it was part of the original deal.
