When the BBC does a good documentary, it does them better than anyone else. Two new series start on Tuesday (May 12th) that promise to be up there with the very best.Think South Pacific and you probably think Rogers and Hammerstein, but this promises to be a completely different kettle of fish. Alice Roberts, formerly of Coast, is the lady in the middle of that smiling trio above and she's fronting a new series The Incredible Human Journey that's starting at 9pm on Tuesdays. Again, Sundays in standard definition on BBC2, so it will pay to be patient if you want to enjoy the full experience.

Just watched The Incredible Human Journey on BBC HD. Utterly fascinating, can't wait for the next part. Not spectacular HD but nonetheless everything is just so much more enjoyable. Have V-plussed South Pacific so hopefully the subject matter will have some HD delights.
