Cable Forum for me is the best of the online forums for discussion on Virgin Media, but some people there have seen it their right to abuse our friend Big Red because ITV 2 HD didn't launch on October 7th.
Pathetic. Big Red has good, reliable sources but even the best can sometimes get information that is subject to change by VM (or the channel providers). Holding him personally responsible for a channel launch is pathetic, much like that slagging off of Neil Berkett a while back which bordered on defamation of character - no-one deserves some of the abuse served up ocassionaly on the Digital Spy forums and it's disappointing to see similar on Cable Forum.
I sincerely hope Big Red doesn't stop posting - Media Boy and I have had similar snide remarks in the past. I've learned to live with it and I'm sure MB has too. And as for Mr Berkett, he has surely proven his critics wrong this year with the delivery on his promise of 30+ HD channels.

its a fact of life that if you gave some people free premium tv they would still moan.
BigRed / MediaBoy and a few others are the only reason I visit cable forums. I just wish the forum mod's would ban these w4nkers and their pathetic posts.

Of course Big Red can't be held personally responsible for changes of plans at VM, and getting it wrong from time to time is an unavoidable part of reporting on not yet finalized plans. But I'm sure most people would rather hear about what may be planned than not knowing what's going on at all, even if it doesn't always come to fruition at the time expected.
Having said that, CF has one of the highest concentrations of imbeciles anywhere on the internet, and that includes their moderators. It's practically intolerable to even read their forums, much less post over there, so I don't blame Big Red if he packs his bags, but hopefully he can find another outlet to share his information. I can think of two pretty good ones, even if their annoying captchas drive me insane. :)
Anyway we can encourage BigRed to post here (get an exclusive) ? :)
