New blog poll for TiVo
I've added a poll to see how many visitors to the blog registered an interest in TiVo and have been called by Virgin Media. Please let me know what you think. Poll closes midday next Monday.
called as am near end of contract... was offered tivo, but price of 149 + 40 install was non-negotiable... reluctantly declined! they said price would remain for some time! sticking to V+ box for 18 mths now, & will see if i can figure out how to stick 2TB hard drive in it!
How? A quick Google should answer that one. It's naughty (contrary to T&Cs) and not without risk (both technical - what if it fails? - and contractual - if VM find out they can penalise you financially) so I can't recommend that route. I will wait for TiVo methinks, especially as it looks like I'll be able to keep my Samsung V+ as my second box.
Got a call tuesday,Free box,Free install and £3 per month not charged for 12 months and my V+hd box swapped with my vbox upstairs.Being installed saturday 12th march
@howardmicks - I'm not sure if your taking the p122 or if you were one of the lucky customers to win TIVO free for a year....
or if you have a fantastic phone manor and managed to get it all for free when others are being charged......non-negotiably! If so then can I give you my account details and ask you to call VM and get me the same deal!
@streaky_7 i assume i was one of the winners of the draw, the lady who phoned didnt have that information. She just told me that i was on her form to call(amongst others) to offer tivo free for 12 months for being a loyal customer,There are others on cable forum who are saying they had similiar calls on tuesday night and wednesday day/night
