I must say, as an American with three tivo boxes, original, 2nd and now premier, I have been very happy with TIVO. My wife however has been ecstatic and threatened to divorce me when I let one tivo lapse. (She now has one connected to her treadmill - which has significantly increased her exercise period - and my appreciation.) after reading all the updates on the Virgin TIVO, I have to say I will now be jealous of those across the pond. Your new TIVO beats even the premier that I just pruchased. I must warn you, Tivo is TV on crack. They give you a little taste and you are hooked.
Sometimes I think folk get expectations artificially set by what's on the forums and blogs regarding release dates. As someone who sometimes adds to that speculation I'm somewhat guilty of that myself (although I always try to indicate when something is not officially confirmed). Did Virgin say anywhere April 1st?
I got the email saying they would contract me before the end of the month. I have still heard nothing. I do not have "expectations artificially set by what's on the forums and blogs regarding release dates" - I am basing my expectations on what VirginMedia told me. "Did Virgin say anywhere April 1st?" - no, they said by the end of March which amounts to the same thing.
As much as we’d have loved you to win one, sadly you weren’t successful ...
If you’d like to upgrade to our supercharged TV service, just sit tight. We're launching in April so we’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with an exclusive offer, just for our customers.

Doesn't mention being in contact by the end of March ...
depend on your email really, I did not enter the 1000 lottery but received this email from them on Feb 16th
Dear Paul,
The countdown is on!
A little while ago, you let us know you were interested in our new TV service, Virgin Media TV powered by TiVo®. We’re delighted you’re as excited about the new service as we are! We’re looking forward to bringing it to you as soon as we can. In fact, that’s why we’re getting in touch.
Here's the latest...
We’ve had an amazing response to our new service from our existing customers so will be offering them priority installations throughout March. We expect the new TiVo service to be available to the general public in April and we’ll make sure that you’re first in line before it does go on general sale. From then on you’ll be able to search, browse, record and explore even more on your TV. Get set to transform your TV experience very soon!
We’ll be in touch again nearer the time to bring you more of the details. For now, you can sit back, relax and wait for all the good stuff to come to you.
My 16th Feb email last para is slightly different;
"The new TiVo service will be available to the general public in the next few months. But you won’t have to wait that long to get your hands on it.
At Virgin Media, our customers come first. That’s why we’d like to offer you the chance to order your TiVo service before it goes on sale to the rest of the Great British public which we expect to be in April. What’s more, we’ll make sure you’re first in the queue to have your service installed, with priority installation, just for Virgin Media customers.
If you’re interested, you don’t need to do a thing. We’ll be in touch around the end of March to let you know how you can get the TiVo service before it goes on general sale. For now, you can sit back, relax and wait for all the good stuff to come to you. "
To me that implies that I would be told today how to get it before it goes on general release. I was a previous TiVo user (have 2 in the attic!) and am looking to forward to getting it back.

Good stuff. Looking forward to it. I did always think it would launch in the new financial year.
The Launch was supposed to be today....yet more waiting time.
VM - you really do need to review your launch policies.....this one has been crappola.

I have got to the point of it will be here when it is here and will just wait for that call, hopefully not to much longer.
Does anyone know when the iPad Tivo app is coming out?
